Data Methodology & Correction
Correction reviewed: .
City statistics are currently unavailable
Previously published city figures included test data. Those figures and the analysis based on them have been withdrawn from all ten city pages and the public city-data endpoint. Do not rely on earlier figures for property or investment decisions.
This correction covers population, income, employment, housing, infrastructure measurements and incentive claims on the city pages. It does not claim that every statement in a separate blog article has been fact-checked.
What is required before a figure can be published
- A retrievable original source and the exact source table or record.
- The dataset period and retrieval date, with city, county and metropolitan geography distinguished.
- The measurement definition, units and any applicable estimate or margin-of-error caveat.
- A checked match between the source record, the visible city page and the downloadable JSON.
Missing, unverified or test values are unavailable. They must not be replaced with generated estimates or described as government data. A professional credential or automated quality score does not validate a statistic.
Original research resources
These links are research starting points, not citations for replacement figures currently published here.
- U.S. Census Bureau — demographic, household and housing tables.
- Bureau of Labor Statistics — employment series and geographic definitions.
- Florida Department of Transportation — transportation information.
- Florida Department of Revenue — tax incentive information. Confirm current eligibility and program dates directly.
Public JSON endpoint
/api/cities.json is available as a downloadable status document. Version 2 includes an explicit status for each city. Statistics, infrastructure and incentives are null while unavailable; null means unavailable, not zero. No source-backed metric values are currently offered.
The pages and JSON share the same publication record. Unavailable city pages are excluded from the sitemap and marked for search engines not to index until verified data is ready.
